Harriet Hawkins
Welcome. I'm Professor Harriet Hawkins, the founding Co-Director of the Centre for GeoHumanities at Royal Holloway, University of London and the Director of the Technē AHRC Doctoral Training Partnership. For UK Research Excellence Framework 2021, I'm a member of the Geography and Environmental Studies expert sub-panel.

My research focuses on the intersections of geography, art, creativity, aesthetics, and the imagination.

I explore how creative practices can contribute to critical contemporary issues - such as the current and future use of underground spaces, and engagements with climate change. My current research project, THINK DEEP, is funded by a five-year European Research Council consolidator grant.
